1. Day Trip to Varna

For those who are looking at staying in one of Bulgaria's beautiful Northern resorts, Varna is a must see. It is the nearest major city and airport serving these resorts. As the largest city on the Black Sea Coast, it attracts thousands and thousands of tourists every year, as one of Bulgaria's major shopping districts, it is an ideal trip for visitors who love to shop until they drop, either in one of the three large shopping centres or, for more traditional shoppers, try Kolkhozen Pazar, the largest market in Varna, selling a vast array of local produce, clothing and souvenirs. But, it isn't just the shopping that attracts visitors, Varna is home to some amazing historical and cultural sites.

Visit the Varna Archaeological Museum, home to the Gold of Varna, the oldest golden treasure ever found dating back as far as 4,600BC! Or take a stroll around the Sea Garden, Varna's largest open air park, in this grand park you can find Varna Aquarium, the Festa Dolphinarium, the Nicolaus Copernicus Observatory and Planetarium, the Museum of Natural History and much more. 2. Nessebar Sightseeing

Nessebar is one of Europe's oldest towns, and has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded 3,000 years ago by the Tharacian Empire, it has been ruled by the Romans, Greeks, Byzantines and even the Ottoman empire claimed its share of this beautiful town, each one of these historic civilisations has left its mark on the resort. With a trip to this fascinating old town you will get the chance to visit some of Bulgaria's oldest temples, agoras, and even Medieval Basilicas. 3. Aqua Park

With three Aqua-Parks in Sunny Beach, "Action Aqua Park", "Kuban Aqua Park" and "Aqua Paradise" and "Aquapolis" in Golden Sands, you can guarantee that you'll have waves of fun at any of these outstanding adventure parks. With twists, turns, rapids, sheer drops and even a lazy river, these aquaparks are perfect for families, big kids, thrill seekers, groups of friends and even couples, no one can resist the charm of a good water park! 4. Jeep Safari

Want to let your adventurous side loose? Maybe you want to see Bulgaria in a completely different light? A jeep safari could be exactly what you are after!
